 STS operates specialized fabrication workshops covering an area of 40,000M2 in Muscat and Sohar within Oman. Workshop facilities include Heavy fabrication bays, Vessel fabrication shops, Machine shop, areas dedicated to exotic materials (Stainless Steel, Corrosion Resistant Alloy, Super Duplex Stainless Steel and Duplex Stainless Steel) welding and Aluminium Welding. The shops are equipped with state of the art welding, testing, machining and material handling equipment.
Our fabrication shops at Muscat & Sohar are accredited with ASME Certifications for manufacturing of coded Pressure vessels & boilers. Certifications include:
- ASME “U” for manufacture of pressure vessels conforming to ASME Sec. VIII Div. I construction
- ASME “U2” for manufacture of pressure vessels conforming to ASME Sec. VIII Div. II construction
- ASME “S” for manufacture & assembly of power boilers
- National Board Certificate - “R” for Shop Repairs / Alterations & Field Repairs of Pressure Vessels & Boilers
- National Board Certificate - “NB” for registering Pressure

| STS also offers a complete industrial painting and protective coating service through its sister company-OICC (Oman Industrial Coating Center), located adjacent to our fabrication facilities at Al-Khuwair and Sohar.
STS has a team of qualified engineers and welding technologists who work exclusively on developing and establishing welding procedures to meet the code and other special requirements of our clients. Presently, STS has a suite of qualified welding procedures that utilize SMAW, TIG, SAW, Electro-slag, Strip Cladding, Narrow Gap SAW, Plasma Arc and Pulsed TIG processes. The majority of STS procedures are qualified to ASME requirements.
