STS Group’s forte is Plant Maintenance, Turnaround, and Shutdown across petrochemical plants and refineries. Since its inception, STS Group has been providing maintenance services to the energy sectors in Oman and has carried out successful preventive and breakdown maintenance campaigns on static and rotating equipment.

Our maintenance capabilities extend to mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines. Our mission is to provide a quality service that reduces equipment downtime, product deferment, and the operating lifetime costs of equipment.

Turnaround & Shutdowns

STS Group started its Turnaround and Shutdown operations in 2007 with the Mina Al Fahal Refinery Turnaround for ORPIC and has since then continued to strive for excellence in this arena, and has established a core management team to execute such projects. STS Group has invested in modern equipment like IBC/OBC (automatic bundle cleaners), hydro jetting machines, torquing tensioning tools, retubing tools, and bundle pullers, to name a few, to offer the most efficient services to our clients.

Plant Maintenance

STS Group proudly stands as a pioneer in oilfield maintenance services in the region for the maintenance of both surface and subsurface oilfield equipment.

We offer a wide range of customized services, including maintenance of critical equipment in remote locations and the development of maintenance strategies that integrate Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Instrumented Protective Functions (IPF), and condition monitoring.

Our team of experienced commissioning engineers and operators also delivers specialized services such as plant commissioning, facility optimization, and support for production operations.

Workshop Based Maintenance

STS Group workshops in Nizwa and Sohar are certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 29001:2020, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards. Our Nizwa facility includes a 3,000 sqm covered area for our maintenance activities. In addition to our scheduled services, we also provide ad-hoc maintenance and support, tailored to meet urgent or specialized client needs whenever required.

Our Nizwa maintenance workshop is equipped with advanced machinery viz., Modern Heavy Duty Lathes, Universal Milling Machine, Heavy thick plate rolling machine, Heavy Duty Radial Drilling Machines and Advance Dynamic Balancing Machine. In addition, the workshop has a calibration and testing shop including Test Bench for Isolation Valves & Test Bench for Relief Valves of any size and large storage, assembly and lay down area.

We have also provided repair and maintenance services for ball, gate, globe, butterfly, check valves, relief valves, control valves, and pumps.
