STS operates specialized fabrication workshops in the Al-Khuwair area of Muscat and at Sohar. The STS workshop facilities include covered areas, one of which is often dedicated to stainless steel and duplex stainless steel welding. The shops are equipped with overhead cranes, mobile cranes, rollers, rotators, cutters, and welding machines. Products fabricated include: Pipe Spooling Process Equipment Pressure Vessels Skid Mounted Manifolds and Equipment Tanks Structural Pump Repair and Maintenance Value Repair and Maintenance

STS also offers a complete industrial painting and protective coating service through its sister company-OICC (Oman Industrial Coating Centre), located adjacent to STS at the Al Khuwair and
Sohar fabrication facilities.

STS has a team of qualified engineers and welding technologists who work exclusively on developing and establishing welding procedures to meet the code and other special requirments of our clients. Presently, STS has a suite of qualified welding procedures that utlise SMAW, TIG, SAW, Electroslag. Strip Cladding, Narrow Gap SAW, Plasma Arc and Pulsed TIG procedures. The
majority of STS’s procedures are qualified to ASME requirments.

The Muscat and Sohar fabrication workshops are approved by ASME for pressure vessel construction requiring the ASME ‘U’ & ‘U2’ stamp and are also certified for the ASME ‘S’ category of ‘boilers’. In addition, each workshop is certified to execute vessel repair requiring the ‘R’ certificate.
