Special Technical Services Training Overseas
Muscat – Special Technical Services (STS), a fast growing multidiscipline Oil and Gas Construction company, with a work force of over 5,000 employees require technically competent personnel who, after giving them further training, would have a chance of being offered higher positions in the company. Hence, the Training Department of STS have planned to send annually, eighty (80) young Omani trainees to India.
The disciplines to be trained are the Welders and Pipe Fitter Fabricators. The first group of 20 trainees will fly out on 16th November 2008 to Balanagar Technical Training Institute Association, Cochin, Kerala India. All of the trainees needs, training and social activities will be looked after by Mr. Divakaran Koppambath, an STS mentor and skilled trainer. The company has set-up a hostel type accommodation, which is close to the training institute, and aside from the formal training that they will get, leisure activities such as volleyball, football and basketball are included for all the trainees.
